How to become a Merchandiser
Although some employers may hire individuals with simply a high school diploma, most employers prefer candidates with an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Business Management, or Business Administration.
Typically a merchandiser will work under a team leader or a manager. Several managers are grouped together into a specific region which is led by a district manager. A successful merchandiser may be able to move into a management role in one of these areas.
